#83 - We Found Ancient Mountain Monasteries, Then Had a Deep Talk About Freedom and Faith
A quiet, chilly day in Meteora, towering rock pillars all around, and a heartfelt reflection on peace, freedom, love, and what religion really means. From a breathtaking viewpoint above the active monasteries and nunneries of Meteora, Madhumangala dasa and Srimati dasi share a simple but weighty meditation. The setting is peaceful, almost still, yet the conversation turns toward the unrest of the wider world, the meaning of free choice, and why love for God can never be forced. There's also that sweet, very real travel energy, finding footing near the edge, adjusting the camera, taking in the snow-capped peaks, and laughing through the moment together. Soft, spontaneous, and honest.

31
:peace and freedom and love go together
32
:free choice right
33
:if there's force involved that's not religious
34
:it's fanatic
35
:there is no such thing as a religious fanatic
36
:there's fanatics
37
:and then there's those that are religious
38
:religion means love for God
39
:there's only one religion in the world hello
40
:and there's only one religious activity
41
:loving and serving him with love
42
:love there's no force
43
:there's no anger there's no enmity
44
:and so today in the world we're
45
:we're we're in a peaceful place
46
:but there's a lot going on in the world
47
:but we're very grateful for the women and men
48
:the shatri is the warriors
49
:who are working hard to defend freedom of speech
50
:and free markets and freedom of choice
51
:and so the places like this can exist exactly
52
:because there will always be demons
53
:and forces that want to try
54
:to be god and use force and fanaticism
55
:to force you to try and do something
56
:and again religious means love for god fanatic
57
:the root of that is force by force by violence
58
:so one can be religious and loving
59
:and you can be a warrior you can be a
60
:a religious warrior
61
:in the sense that you're defending people's right
62
:to have free choice
63
:free speech property rights
64
:and the right to congregate and the right to
65
:to uh engage in religious activities
66
:so we got some people coming up the way
67
:but we'll talk more about this today
